Awareness talk on preventing Drug Addiction

June 26 is the international day against drug abuse. Mar theophilus training college has conducted an awareness programme on the topic " Preventing drug addiction".

The resource person was Vinod Vikramadithyan, Sub inspector of police and a former student of our college.  The session was started at 9:30 am.

Our principal explains  a brief summary about him. Vinod  Vikramadithyan sir has inaugurated the programme. 

Then we move on to the main session, the orientation class. I feel very fortunate that l had the opportunity  to attend his class. Because the class was so effective. He explain the present scenario on the basis drug addiction in students. His way of communication was not in a formal way. So everyone was enjoyed a lot and we don't get bored.

He explains different varieties of drugs that present in our society and he emphasis the major after effects of drug consumption. He portrayed a clear picture about the drugs namely -  Cocain ,MDMA, Mushroom etc. The session gives us the awareness of the prevailing danger in our society. He alle say that the students are mainly the carrier of drugs.

 Besides he explain violence against women , political influence in democracy,  inefficiency of enforcing law and order, social deformation, child abuse , etc.

After the main session we get the opportunity to ask several questions regarding the class. Shahina, Jaison,Ranjitha, Priyanka, and Ananthu have asked several questions and he explained it in an effective way. He also describes his police training experience and how he reach his present position. It was an inspiration for us.

After the interactive session Principal Joju john sir has lead a pledge against drug abuse and everyone has taken the pledge full heartedly.
